I don't want you to be distracted by the picture, yet I do want you to be distracted by the picture. I want you to consider the content of the message.
This is an exercise of awareness that I want to bring to your attention. :)

So there I was sitting at my chair, surfing the web, and this acute, gentle nudge moved against me.
My mind quickly trained onto a specific person I know. The feeling of it was genuinely kind. I didn't totally dismiss it, but, then again, I didn't totally know what to do with it. I moved on with my day.
Oh, about ten minutes later, I got the text below.
Now, to put this into perspective, for this particular person, I rarely, super rarely, feel such notices, so this isn't a common thing between us.
Since I felt it though, I am using this event to illustrate a point to you about the supernatural.
-------------------
In this beautiful existence on Earth that we all share, we are here for a fascinating purpose ... to be aware ... to be open to feel.
Overlaid upon that network of existence enters in, for the believer in Jesus Christ who accepts this, the workings of the Holy Spirit. Enters in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as mentioned often enough in the book of 1 Corinthians.
The King James version of the Bible (not my favorite, but it works for this point, sort of) has this for 1 Corinthians 14:1-2 ... "Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led."
Unfortunately, in modern times, folks often correlate the term "dumb" with "stupid", so a more precise translation, from the Concordant Literal Version, has this instead, "Now concerning the spiritual endowments, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant. You are aware that when you were of the nations, you were led away to the voiceless idols, as ever you were led.".
Focus here on the action of "led away".
From whatever these people were doing before they were believers in Jesus Christ, they sensed "something" leading them, but they were led by something other than the Holy Spirit and led to some destination by "something" other than the Holy Spirit. The fact established here is that they were "led" by something spiritual or supernatural.
The fact is then (from this account within the scriptures), these people, who had become believers, previously, before becoming believers afterwards, were aware of something that could lead them. In churches, this being led facet is often dismissed, when in truth, it isn't upon becoming believers, that they all of a sudden were aware of spiritual things in order to be led by them. It's not like becoming born again caused them to become spiritually aware.
The fact is then (from a Biblical perspective), whether or not a person believes in Jesus Christ or whether or not a person is "baptized" in the Holy Spirit (some doctrines profess two separate experiences, which I do from my own personal experience), the fact still remains that some non-believers in Jesus Christ most probably have been, in fact, led away to destinations of an idol nature (see image below) at some point in time in their lives before believing in Christ.
One problem is, what I am teaching here, typical church folks don't teach these spiritual things today. Um, honestly, they probably aren't very self-aware of the spiritual (for whatever reason) as a person can be aware, and a person can not be aware.
The oddity I have seen with church folks has been the more "educated" they become in pet teachings within their various doctrines within the Bible (not all but enough), the more numb they have become to being aware of spiritual things. They are so apt to be taught Bible, Bible, Bible in specific ways to support specific things like salvation, grace, and the other things Paul mentions in Hebrews 5:11-14; 6:1-3 (see below) that they have become, as Paul put it, "dull of hearing", which is my point above. They have "become" unaware because of what they are investing their knowledge into.
King James Version
Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit.
Concordant Literal Version
concerning whom there are words, many and abstruse, for us to say, since you have become dull of hearing. For when also, because of the time, you ought to be teachers, you have need again of one to teach you what are the rudimentary elements of the oracles of God, and you have come to have need of milk, and not of solid nourishment. For everyone who is partaking of milk is untried in the word of righteousness, for he is a minor. Now solid nourishment is for the mature, who, because of habit, have faculties exercised for discriminating between the ideal and the evil.
Wherefore, leaving the word dealing with the rudiments of Christ, we should be brought on to maturity, (not again disrupting the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith on God, of the teaching of baptizings, besides the imposition of hands, and the resurrection of the dead, and of judgment eonian). And this will we be doing, that is, if God may be permitting.
-------------------
From the above scriptures, you can see that a problem of not moving on from the foundations and into maturity was enough of an issue to be mentioned even while the apostles were still alive. Staying below deck is rampant today as well. Many believers in Jesus are not mature in walking with Jesus. They should ... "by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil". They should ... "be teachers" but are "untried in the word of righteousness" ... being minors in the faith instead of being seniors. This is because they are choosing to not be led by the Holy Spirit into the spiritual things of God where the spiritual warfare is.
-------------------
Concerning being an "empath", as I have mentioned often enough about myself being one, the saying goes like this, "A person is either an Empath or not." because once you have that "knowing", there really isn't any undoing of that experience of sensing something resulting in knowing something that you couldn't otherwise know without sensing it ... those vibes just come at you like the wind === become proven true >>> become unforgettable. It is an experience indelibly smudged into a person's existence. There is no undoing it.

A lot of folks have a lot of names for being aware, but, regardless, God made each of us to be aware. Some very much develop awareness while others very much stifle it. I can see why a non-believer would scoff at a believer who is "dull of hearing" as the scriptures I previously gave show can happen. There is nothing like being spiritually aware whether a person believes in Jesus Christ or not. The spiritual is fascinating! It is what a person does with it that matters.
So this "hearing his voice" thing I mention from time to time, that "hearing" thing can just as well be that "leading" thing, except, a person has to make sure that that leading "thing" (LOL!) is from God, which confirmation often comes through prayer, which is like just checking in with God and praying for peace about it because as a new creation in Christ believers get that sounding board for what we feel, again, if we are open to receive it. We get the comfort of confirmation for how we are led in the spirit. :)
Much of the talk about the fruit of the spirit and the armor of God has to do with that of which I am writing. Being weakened in the fruit of the spirit can cause a person to be not so clear on what is "heard". Being weakened in the armor of God can cause a person to be weakened in not being clear as well as not as being able to defend against what "else" leads us away. That being "led away" doesn't just stop because a person believes in Jesus Christ. It's more that where non-believers have their methods of defense, God has his that we are able to develop into our character.
Unfortunately, the typical church clergy doesn't address folks coming out of the non-Holy Spirit "led" lifestyle into the Holy Spirit "led" lifestyle. Thankfully, the apostles taught about it!
I am very thankful for the way the apostles, such as Paul, figuratively pictured the things of God in visual forms and terminology so his audience could better understand. It's not that we have physical armor, but the elements of the born again experience adds the armor to our way of surviving, protecting, winning, and improving.
----------------
If you are able to take the time to do a study on it, long before Israel became "Israel" and long after (based off of pattern - most probably today as well), people have been steeped into a non-Holy Spirit led lifestyle BECAUSE (LOL!) by not being led by the Holy Spirit, people are led by "something" BECAUSE, by God's design, each of us throughout history and humanity were created by God to feel the spiritual realm.
Many people dabble into what they feel and of what I write, but, imho, few people follow the Holy Spirit in what he is leading them to do. Jesus mentioned as much himself.
So back to the image (the one with the smiley face) ... I felt that context in the spiritual just before it materialized in my cell phone's messages.
By "feeling" the intention of that message before it was in a physical form, I accepted it as true, so when it moved from spiritual to physical, I didn't dismiss the spiritual intention as being anything other than true.
This sort of thing happens to me a lot. I feel the intentions of another sometimes from my videos as well as other posts too and just in daily life. I seem to be aware of people often enough. Sometimes, it is a good thing. Sometimes, it is not a good thing.
Sometimes, it's not the warm and fuzzy feeling one might want, but a feeling is a feeling. It has a purpose. It is up to me to pray about what that purpose is - friend or foe - "Why was this brought to my awareness?"
I know it might seem like an odd image to post, but it is rare, as I mentioned, for me to pair physical fact with spiritual nuance in such a way. You just have my word that I "felt" the intention before it materialized, but who can prove what is felt? It's not replicable, so scientifically, it is discarded. Trust is what we might have together. If we can't trust each other, it makes this lesson a bit hard to believe.
Today, nonetheless, I am hoping to springboard your mind into thinking about the things of God. 🙂
